THINGS WE HAVE BEEN CONDITIONED TO BELIEVE
REGARDING SEXUALITY:
We have been conditioned to believe that sex/uality is "sinful/dirty"...except for procreation. So natural curiosity, masturbation, anal intercourse, bi-sexuality, homosexuality and any sexuality other than heterosexuality have been forbidden, deemed sinful, persecuted, judged and/or prosecuted, This, by a belief system which does not encourage individuality. A system which breeds intolerance, ignorance and fear in order to control and manipulate us into supporting an agenda which does not serve the majority of Earth's inhabitants.
Were we not conditioned, brainwashed, manipulated and/or coerced into believing our natural tendencies are other than acceptable,( so long as no one is harmed, without their consent) and all were given the freedom, unconditional acceptance and encouragement to grow and develop into one's own unique and individual potential...all of these aspects of humanity would be non issues.
We are told that this manipulation is for the good of society, "morally" correct "in God's eyes",or for our own good...yet the hypocrisy is obvious when one considers that these judgments go against one's natural instincts.
Another aspect of our conditioning is that we must feel ashamed, embarrassed and or perverse when exposed to our most natural and beautiful expression of self, "NUDITY". Secretly, we are curious, admire and appreciate the natural human body. Just don't let anyone else witness our "perversion".
An obvious detrimental effect of this conditioning is the unnatural suppression of one's MOST natural, human characteristic. So conditioning and hypocrisy, compounded by judgment, shame, embarrassment, ostracizing..., in the battle to deter one's natural development, gets expressed in rape, non-consensual sex, victimization.... and all because we choose to accept the lies of those who would endeavor to control every aspect of our existence.
We look at our world and wonder why life has become so insane. We question why there is so much intolerance, inequality, scarcity, violence, prejudice, hatred and fear. And yet seem incapable of envisioning an existence which promotes gratitude, acceptance and freedom to express and become all that we have the potential to be.
Only when we take personal responsibility for our own happiness and leave off expecting others to live life, as we see fit, will we begin to evolve as a species towards our full potential.
