What NOW: now that the Coronavirus is here?
CORONAVIRUS
2020
Humans. Here
we are, as ONE around the world. Amid a threat which has the potential to give
our beautiful planet the opportunity to erase her cancer and recover from the
damage left behind. We are the plight which threatens our existence. Anything
can happen. Perhaps she is giving us a wake-up call.
We have been
given the gift of our existence, this thing we call life. How fucking amazing
is THAT!
Yet here we
are with a choice. You may believe you don’t have a choice or that your choice
won’t matter enough to make a difference. That’s fine, because we are where we
are. Whether one takes responsibility for their choices or not.
Our story so
far has given us a glimpse, of what our choices have the potential to create,
when we eschew our responsibility and turn to others to save us, protect us and
take care of us. As though we are incompetent, helpless and without power.
The only
thing that matters right now, is whether we will wake up and take this
opportunity to choose better for ourselves and others. To unite us in our true
potential. To find solutions, accepting of all the differences which have
separated us and kept us in a state of constant turmoil and uncertainty.
So, where do
we stand? We can’t change the past. We can’t be in the future. We are here now,
always and forever. Which means, THIS moment, is where our power resides.
Mother
nature has given us a tremendous opportunity. Now, with more and more of us
being forced out of the rat race for a moment, we have been offered much needed
time to reflect on who we are and who we choose to become.
Until now we
have been manipulated and played. Just look around. Are you good with your
current experience? Content and secure with the choices you have been subtly
coerced to accept? Do you enjoy being a free-range slave? Being allowed just
enough freedom, comfort and security to keep you from opening your eyes to the
truth of your existence, while those in power cinch the noose ever tighter.
For all I
care we can be wiped out of existence for the pestilence we have become. Perhaps
this virus can discern between those who serve and those who only take without regard
for the consequences. Either way we have mercifully been given a quick and easy
way out of our slavery. Which is more than we could hope for or deserve.
I’m fine
with whatever is. My attitude is “BRING IT ON MOTHERFUCKER”. Show me who I am.
Either I’ll cease to exist or not. I will not live in fear.
Fear kills
one’s potential. It keeps one from realizing what an amazing life is available;
to any who break free from their shackles of irresponsibility to themselves and
the shared future of all who survive this eventful time.
WHAT is our
responsibility now? Who among us feels as though something is not right? Who
knows they are meant for more than what they have come to be? Who among us,
given an opportunity, would choose life as it is? Would continue slaving for an
existence which cares not who they are or hope to be?
If we were
to take this opportunity to reflect on the state of things as they are, see the
potential for change, might we not choose something better than this? Till now
we have put our faith in our parents, religion, education, government or anyone
who promised to be there for us. But clearly none of these have proven to have
our best interest at heart.
However, like any game in which one loses interest may end
and be put away, so to, for us now may prove to be the perfect opportunity to
choose another game. Is it time to say enough is enough?
No matter who we have been, what beliefs we have embraced,
where we began our journey, the only thing that matters is what we choose now.
My proposal is that in our time of reflection, we search our
souls for answers, which once embraced, would include everyone on our amazing
planet, and their right to life, liberty and freedom to pursue their Soul’s
desire. If we resolve to come up with global solutions, to end conflict and
find a way to support Mother Earth’s ability to supply all our needs, just as
she provides for all of nature, we may eventually live up to our true
potential.
As of now we are isolating ourselves even further, fearful,
uncertain, dreading a future we are incapable of imagining. But adversity can
be our greatest opportunity yet. We have plenty of evidence that we are
survivors. That no matter what we have accepted, embraced, and embodied, no
matter the destruction caused, we are still here.
What reservoirs of potential have we left untapped? What are
we truly capable of? This we cannot know unless we wake up, take responsibility
for ourselves, each other and our planet. By supporting only those who are
willing to find ways to live and thrive together as ONE and by discarding old
systems which do not support our united potential.
I am sharing this in hopes of starting a dialog amongst those
who believe life has the potential to be different, better. That by sharing and
communicating our ideas we will find a way to usher in a time of acceptance,
respect and appreciation for everyone. Recognizing that all have the potential
to become superhuman. That each has their own unique contribution. Without
which, none will reach their full potential to create a world beyond anything
we have yet to imagine.
If you doubt my word, your own potential, or your ability to
make a better choice, do yourself a favor and Google David Goggin’s story “Can’t
Hurt Me”, as example of raw human potential. He can also be seen on YouTube’s
“Joe Rogan Experience #1080 and #1212”.
